Intellivision competed well with the Atari 2600. Its technology was superior but it was not as popular.
The original Intellivision had 2 versions:
Version 1: Played first and third party games indescrimitively.
Version 2: Searched for copyright info in a certain part of the cartridge and if it wasn't there then it didn't work.
